Abducted Zelienople Teen Safe; Ex-Boyfriend In Custody

Monday, October 6, 2008 – updated: 7:18 pm EDT October 6, 2008

Police said the abducted 17-year-old girl who prompted a Monday morning Amber Alert has been recovered safely, and her former boyfriend is in custody.

Joshua McCaslin, 21, said he didn’t abduct his former girlfriend.

According to Seneca Valley School District officials, the girl was involved in a domestic incident at her bus stop.

Tammy Galvin, a bus driver, witnessed the incident and contacted police.

“I could see from my side mirror that he was dragging her,” said Galvin. “I put my head kind of out the window, and she was screaming, ‘Let me go! Let me go!’”

Police said the high school senior was missing for four hours. They found her, with McCaslin, at McCaslin’s house.

The girl’s mother said McCaslin had been bothering her daughter for some time.

"She's pregnant with his child," her mother said.
